use pop-up ipod controls to control last client

When streaming last.fm radio, your app makes it quite usable to use other apps. When using safari for instance, it would be great to interact with the last.fm client through the pop-up ipod controls, without having to go back to springboard and launch the client. Hooking into the ipod controls may be impossible, but it would be much appreciated if you could investigate. There is some interaction apparent with mobileplayer since the title shows both in lock screen and in pop-up controls. If it is possible, my suggestion would be hook next track to skip and previous track to love, perhaps pause could ban or even pause if possible. Thanks for the best 3rd party app on my phone!

I looked into this when I added the feature of displaying the now playing info on the lock screen / popup. There doesn't appear to be a way to receive the messages from the popup, they go directly to the iPod player app. The same is true of iPod remote accessories, the skip button on my wireless headset goes directly to the iPod, there's no way to intercept it and handle it in MobileScrobbler?

This might eventually be possible with the official SDK, so I'll keep the ticket open for now.

Just to add to the wish list (this seems related), it'd also be great to capture input from the Apple Remote while the device is in a Universal Dock. I'd imagine the solution for this would be similar to the solution for capturing the iPhone headphone clicker, and the popup.
